Hi Peter, Thank you for your message.

The full features of Qolsys panel requires alarm.com subscription and as it is a graded system, they are designed to be installed and maintained by professional installers.
Not all installers have managed to sign up to Alarm.com and as one of the largest Qolsys installers in UK, we have taken over system maintenance and alarm.com subscription for a large number of customers who are stuck without being able to connect to the app.

It is a fantastic system and a real upgrade from the standard Visonic panels and VisonicGo app. It also gives you the option to connect to hundreds of third party devices via Zwave integration. If you are still considering using Qolsys and require assistance with Qolsys alarm.com subscription, please do get in touch and we will be happy to assist.

Many thanks,
Emma

Comment on 17 Things to consider when buying a Yale Alarm by FHA Comments https://www.fhasecurity.co.uk/blog/17-things-to-consider-when-you-are-buying-a-yale-alarm/#comment-531 Thu, 13 Jul 2023 11:41:30 +0000 https://www.fhasecurity.co.uk/blog/?p=5732#comment-531 In reply to Nikhil Kumar.

Hello Nikhil,

Unfortunately, as Yale alarms are DIY systems, they only come with one communication module built-in and does not allow for replacing or adding another type of module. Depending on the model of your Yale alarm, you may still be able to replace the control panel with one that supports broadband ( smart phone app) connectivity or GSM (sim card) connectivity and get it programmed to all other devices. If that is not an option, unfortunately you will have to replace the whole alarm for a new one.

With such issues, we would recommend a professional grade alarm, as most of our customers going through similar issues can simply add a new communication module and get the system working as before.

Hope this helps.

Will it be possible to connect through mobile or wifi router? I am planning to disconnect my landline as it is getting expensive now. Appreciate any suggestion.

Hello Bob,

Both Visonic Powermaster 30 and Texecom 64 are excellent alarms, meeting same British Standards. Visonic range has superior wireless signal strength and longer battery life. If you opt for the IP module communication option (connection via the smartphone app to control the alarm), Visonic’s app is free. And Visonic panel and sensors look modern in comparison to Texecom panel. Please get in touch and our team will be happy to give you a fully customised quote for your property.

Many thanks,

Comment on Should I buy or lease my home alarm system? by Olivia Anna https://www.fhasecurity.co.uk/blog/should-i-buy-or-lease-my-home-alarm-system/#comment-430 Thu, 06 Apr 2023 06:16:48 +0000 http://www.fhasecurity.co.uk/blog2/?p=5001#comment-430 Hi there! I like what this article mentions about whether should I buy or lease my home alarm system. Some companies are offering alarm systems on a lease, while some are selling them outright without any contracts. It can be overwhelming and difficult for some of us to decide which one is better. I’ll have to keep this in mind when looking at different types as I really would like a comparison of home alarm systems offered by different security providers. Thanks for telling me to buy or lease my home alarm system.
